Julie and Nik Normanby Hall
Julie and Nik chose to get married at Normanby Hall.
Normanby Hall is set in a beautiful 300 acre estate located in the heart of North Lincolnshire, with impressive gardens, woodland and lakes. The weather forecast for the day was cloudy with showers, it stayed dry and warm all day with scattered cloud.
Julie and Nik chose a photography package that included all day photography and a wedding album to display their favourite memories from their wedding.
The images below give a good representation of my style of photography, and the kind of memories I can capture from your wedding day.
The day started with bridal preparations at Grange Park in Messingham. The bridal party had booked in to some of the lodges that are in the tranquil grounds of the park. Facilities at Grange Park include 18 hole golf course, fishing, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, holiday lodges, fully licensed bar and function room overlooking the stunning golf course.
The theme for Julie and Nik's wedding was Take That, lots of the bridal parties accessories were custom made and included a Take That twist.
Late in the morning all the guests, groom and grooms men arrived at the Club House at Grange Park. We took the opportunity to use the empty golf course and morning sun to get some photos of the groom and his men.
A vintage London Red bus had been hired to transport all the guests from Grange Park to Normanby Hall for the wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast.
The large rooms of Normanby Hall have tall windows allowing light to flood the rooms, making it a perfect venue for photography. The rooms of Normanby Hall are very grand with chandeliers and high ceilings, decorated in traditional colours. It really does give a special feeling to your wedding day.
The ceremony was performed in The Buckingham Room.
The newly decorated Buckingham Room is the most popular ceremony room and seats 60 people. The Buckingham Room is the only room on the first floor that is licenced for weddings. The wedding party will have views over the impressive front lawn whist the ceremony takes place.
After the ceremony we moved outside to take advantage of the garden areas and the lovely sunshine. The grounds provide a stunning setting for wedding photographs.
The wedding breakfast was served in The Regency Dining Room. A grand hall with a large fire place, chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows looking out on to the garden. The staff faultlessly delivered all the wedding guests their 3 course meal choice.
From Normanby Hall the wedding party took the vintage London bus back to Grange park for the evening reception. Here we were able to take advantage of the evening sunshine and the stunning grounds around the fishing lakes for some more photographs. The guests were able to sit out on the terrace over looking the golf course and enjoy the warm summer evening and a drink or 2. The function room was set out with a large dance floor and plenty of seating inside if the weather turned cooler.
After the guests had partied the night away and celebrated with Julie and Nik they were able to return to the onsite lodges meaning everyone could fully enjoy themselves.
